It is hhhooottt today! But, the heat doesn’t ever stop me from wearing pants or the color black. You know what I mean? I’m sure you do. Black, white and neutral colors make great choices for a casual look. You can pretty much pair them with anything and they never go out of style.

Monochromatic (pairing different shades of one color) looks are super chic to me and look great on anyone! Although, my mom always tells me that I need to add some color to my wardrobe because I look boring, I just can’t step away.

Today, I chose to sport this simple outfit. No jewelry. Nothing extra. Just me.

I purchased this ribbed high neck top from Forever 21. I love high neck tops and turtle necks even if it’s summer! I understand that people might have a problem with Forever 21 because of quality and other reasons. However, I’ve actually never had any issues with their clothing. The thing is, it’s meant to be disposable. Let’s be real here, what’s in fashion doesn’t ever last long; and when it comes to everyday articles of clothing, I personally don’t think that investing in it heavily is a smart idea. Ok, rant over. I’ve had this top for almost a year and it’s in perfect condition. It transitions well into fall and winter because you can easily throw a denim or leather jacket over it.

These jeans are the Bullhead brand from Pac Sun. My go-to fit for jeans are the super skinny style. If you’re like me and you like to wear boots and sneakers, they’re easy to tuck and they really showcase your shoes. I mean, you did buy them to be seen, right?

My favorite part of this outfit are my shoes, the Adidas Tubular Radials. The best part about them is that I’m lucky enough to fit into the youth sizes still, so they were cheaper. Ladies, a tip for you all, if your foot is a size 8 (I think) or smaller, go for the kids sizes! It’ll save you a ton of money. I love, love, love these shoes. The tubular line is actually pretty similar looking to the Yeezy’s minus the price tag.

They’re comfortable and slim enough to wear with any outfit. Sometimes when I’m feeling that what I’m wearing is a little too girly or put together, I’ll throw these on to bring it down a notch. They are constructed from neoprene; and if you’re like me and don’t know the difference between cotton and polyester, that means they feel kind of like a wetsuit. A thicker wetsuit, but still breathable.

My bag is from Pour La Victoire who I actually found out discontinued their handbag line. It’s leather with a really cool textured flap (sorry I don’t have the material deets) and gold hardware. I like that it’s got a detachable shoulder strap so it can easily become a clutch. Buying versatile bags= more bang for your buck. When I’m looking to buy any sort of bag, I search high and low for something different. Name brands are cool and all, but designers who aren’t as well known have some of the coolest designs! This one was a gift from my boyfriend. Doesn’t he have such good style? 🙂

The pom pom is actually for my keys, but I like to hook it onto my bags so it’s easily accessible. I think it’s super unique and cute. I’ve never seen one like this in stores and it’s faux fur, too! I’m obsessed with cats and it reminds me of one of my babies so I had to get it. It came from the store Dune London if you wanna check it out. They don’t have this pink one anymore, but I linked one with leopard ears and I’m dying from its cuteness!

Lastly, my sunglasses, again, are Ray-Ban in their signature aviator style. The frame is a gunmetal color with a brown gradient lens. These are wearable with any color whether it’s black or brown which is why they’re my favorite pair! Sadly, they aren’t available on the website and are almost impossible to find in stores. Don’t let that stop you though. Happy hunting!
