Chain Choker: Made by me

So I just started school one week ago and I haven’t been able to post much. I’m super overwhelmed right now, but I’m taking some down time and coming to my happy place (aka here). This will be a quick outfit post that I was excited to wear.

This is a very on trend look, I mean, the choker and layering the cami over the tee? It brought me back to 6th grade when I used to wear stuff like this all the time (not the cropped lacy part, just the cami over the t-shirt part lol). I’m regretting selling all my cami’s because I totally could have used them now!

I really love the idea of layering a cami over a t-shirt because I don’t ever like to show too much skin. Not only that, but it’s also a good way to get use out of your summer wardrobe and transition it to fall. Throw on that spaghetti strap top over a long sleeve turtle neck and you’re good to go! You can even wear those cami’s under a button up shirt for a more relaxed look.

This look was completed with a pair of dark jeans and loafers featured in this post (here).

Now, I purchased this black wrap choker with metal detailing at the ends for about $3.50. Oddly enough, I can’t justify purchasing a $35 choker. I see them and think, “hey, I could make that myself!”. The truth is, you really can! So if you see me wearing any, know I didn’t pay more than $10 for it. The chain choker was made by me. I’m not the craftiest person, sadly I didn’t get that ability from my grandma; but, I tried to remember the basics of what she taught me. It took me two minutes to make. Really? Yes, really! 🙂 I’ve been wanting a curb chain choker that won’t leave my neck green and that isn’t going to cost me an arm and a leg. This one was less than $10 to make.

I’m thinking about making a short tutorial on how to quickly and easily make a choker. I promise it’ll be doable no matter your crafting skill level!
